SOP/guideline on how to take backup of Outlook

1.      Open outlook and go to file (ref: Screenshot below)

 

2.      Click Open & Export and then click Import/Export (ref: Screenshot below)

 

3.      Click Export to a file and then click Next (ref: Screenshot below)

 

4.      Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and then click Next (ref: Screenshot below)

 

5.      Select appropriate calendar, check Include subfolders and then click Next (ref: Screenshot below). CAUTION: If you are not sure about right calendar, take several Backups of several calendars with different file name.

 

6.      Click browse and select the path where you want to take backup > Select Replace duplicates with items exported > Click Finish (ref: Screenshot below) CAUTION: File name for different backup must be different.

 

7.      Do not select password and click OK (ref: Screenshot below)
