Configuration guideline

-          Click for Android > CONSAM Application

Clause1

Configuration guideline > Android > CONSAM Application

1.      Look for CONSAM telecom application installed on your phone and uninstall the same before this installation in order to avoid conflict.

2.      Ensure that password sharing is never public because if someone else does configuration with the same password, there will be several SIP registrations thereby causing instability.

3.      Download the application.

a.       Ver. 1 > Click here (obsolete)

b.      Ver. 2 > Click here (obsolete)

c.       Ver. 3 > Click here (Latest) < Download this

4.      At the time of installation, add the application to trusted source.

5.      Provide username & password given by CONSAM Telecom and during installation, allow everything that Android OS questions.

6.      After installation and registration, restart/reboot the mobile and open application again to use.

7.      In case, problem is faced, refer to the belownoted for further advanced configurations:

a.       Make enquiry by sending an e-mail to networks@consam.in whether AUTO-NAT has been configured.

b.      Yet to come.

Clause2

Configuration guideline > Android > Zoiper Application Installation

1.      Look for all other versions of Zoiper application installed on your phone and uninstall the same before this installation in order to avoid conflict.

2.      Ensure that password sharing is never public because if someone else does configuration with the same password, there will be several SIP registrations thereby causing instability.

3.      Visit Google playstore and search for Zoiper and click Zoiper IAX SIP VOIP Softphone then click install [NOTE: Paid version is required] (screenshot given below):

4.      After installation is finished, please click open and you will see a MSGBOX to allow notification. Click Allow (screenshot given below):

5.      Then click �Agree and Continue� terms and condition to get user configuration page and in account setup, please put your extension & password provided by CONSAM telecom as shown in the picture below and then click Create an account (screenshot given below):

6.      Then please fill the hostname or provider as 216.48.181.132 and press/click Next (screenshot given below):

7.      Then press/click Next (screenshot given below):

8.      Then press/click Finish after seeing that SIP TCP is showing found (screenshot given below):

9.      After finish, MSGBOX will be displayed like the one given below. Click �Allow� and then click �OK� to configure DND and scroll to click Zoiper in the application list (screenshot given below):

10.  Allow DND for Zoiper (screenshot given below):

11.  Then it will look like this (screenshot given below):

12.  If the details entered are correct then Zoiper should look like below if menu button is clicked. Then click �Settings� then connectivity (screenshot given below):

13.  In the screenshot given below, �Enable PUSH proxy�, �Keep Alive WiFi� and �Run In Background� is needed to be checked (screenshot given below):

14.  Click <- (Back) button to settings. Now click Accounts and then sip address (screenshot given below):

15.  Check �Enable to start� then click on �Audio Codec Settings� and check all the available OPUS codecs and uncheck all other options of codec (screenshot given below):

16.  From settings menu click on Advance. Click �Start with Android� and the application is ready to make and receive calls (screenshot given below):

 

Clause3

Configuration guideline > Android > Zoiper Application Troubleshooting

1.      Removal from Battery settings: Remove Zoiper application from Battery restriction to overcome problem of deregistration (un-registration). Several Android applications have several settings and as such this setting has to be looked for. It is noteworthy to mention that Whats-app also doesn�t have battery restriction.

2.      One-way voice problem: Refer to above Clause 2 (Installation), point # 13 and under �Proxy protocols� select �SIP + RTP�.
